Ellie has been a provider at BrightStarts since January 2013, after being an NP student at the clinic in 2012. Ellie earned her Bachelor's of Nursing degree from the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. After a decade of RN experience, she earned her Master's degree in Nursing at the University of Alabama Huntsville in the Family Nurse Practitioner track. She also holds a second Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the University of Florida. While she loves all aspects of providing care to children and their families, Ellie is our behavioral specialist; and she is especially passionate about treating psychological, social, academic and behavioral disorders, such as anxiety and ADHD. She is a national medical conference speaker. She is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and is a member of the North Alabama Nurse Practitioner Association and the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners. When she is not at the clinic, you can usually find her performing in local community theatre productions (Broadway musicals are her fave), or working theatre tech backstage while her teenager is performing on the stage. She resides in Madison with her husband and son.
