Ellie earned her Bachelor's of Nursing degree from the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. After a decade of RN experience, she earned her Master's degree in Nursing at the University of Alabama Huntsville in the Family Nurse Practitioner track. She was privileged to train under Dr. Jain at BrightStarts for her pediatric rotation at UAH. She has been a CRNP with the clinic since January 2013. Ellie holds a second Bachelor's degree in Sociology from the University of Florida. While she loves all aspects of providing care to children, she is especially passionate about treating psychological, social, academic and behavioral disorders (such as anxiety and ADHD) and has been the BrightStarts go-to provider for all things neurodivergent for over a decade. She is also a national medical conference presenter on mental health topics. She is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and is a member of the North Alabama Nurse Practitioner Association. She is a proud wife for over 20 years and a proud mom to a young-adult - they reside locally and enjoy theatre, music, travel, and movie nights on the couch. She considers it an honor to be trusted with the physical and mental well-being of her BrightStarts2 families.
